Capacity Building for Regional Education Learning Initiative-RELI VaLi Thematic Group Members

Through our Adapting assessment into policy and learning(ADAPT):Adolescent 21st Century Skills project we have kicked off a 3-phase training to ensure members of the Regional Education Learning Initiative (RELI Africa) Values and Life Skills Thematic Group understand assessments, the types, the tools, the processes and evidence generation rationales.

The training will involve virtual and face to face sessions. The first session on types of learning was facilitated by Ms. Zaida Mgalla, the former executive director, Uwezo Tanzania.

This workshop also provided an opportunity to introduce the ADAPT Learning community Platform to the cluster, this platform will contain course materials, allow members to ask questions, discuss issues from the capacity building content and self-evaluation surveys.

Similar workshops will take place in Uganda and Kenya.

The Regional Education Learning Initiative (RELI) is a collaborative peer learning network of about 70 organizations who work on improving learning outcomes in East Africa. Founded in 2017, RELI is a member-driven initiative. Its goal is to empower members--policy makers, civil society, non-governmental organizations--to become effective, influential organizations through peer-to-peer collaboration, learning, and joint policy engagement.

The ADAPT Project is supported by the Global Partnership for Education and the International Research Development Centre (IDRC) under the Knowledge Innovation Exchange (KIX) Program.
