GESCI and Uganda will honour senior officials graduating in leadership in ICT and Knowledge Society development

Kampala, Uganda February 4, 2016, GESCI and the government of Uganda will honour graduates who have successfully completed the Dublin City University (DCU) African Leadership in ICT and Knowledge Society Development diploma. An official handover of DCU graduate diplomas and transcripts will be held in Kampala, Uganda, at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The ceremony will be chaired by GESCI’s Chief Executive Officer, Jerome Morrissey and the Permanent Secretary of Uganda’s Ministry of ICT, Dr. Jummy Pat Samanya. The ceremony will honour senior officials and managers who are serving in a number of Ugandan ministries, public institutions and universities. The graduates who will be honoured have both completed GESCI’s African Leadership in ICT and Knowledge Society Development (ALICT) programme delivered in Uganda in 2015 and opted for the Dublin City University (DCU) diploma. GESCI’S ALICT programme seeks to build the capacity of leaders to be agents of change for the development of knowledge societies. More about ALICT
